Undergraduate Curriculum Overview

The Director of Studies at Aden Gureigh University, has the primary responsibility for the curriculum. In consultation with curriculum committee, the director also approves new courses and programs and makes all necessary changes including elimination of existing courses and programs.


Business & Technology

The College of Business and Technology (CBT) offers an undergraduate BBA degree in five different majors to all interested students. This program is appropriate for students majoring in accounting, finance, management, marketing and technology to persue professional careers in business and management technology.

Medicine

The College of Medicine offers MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree in Medicine to all interested students. This program is appropriate for students majoring in Medicine to work as doctors. The program covers Basic Sciences for the first two years and Clinical Sciences for the remainder of the accelerated 5-year medical curriculum including the compulsory rural internship for one year. Students must undergo GU pre-professional internship before the completion of their medical program.

The First Two Years - Students cover the first two years all basic sciences coupled with some practical application and stimulation. The pre-clinical instructions and examinations in each of the courses specified in the academic curriculum must be successfully completed. Basic science courses such as biochemistry, genetics, anatomy, and embryology are presented concurrently for the first year.

The Last Three Years - Students cover the last 3 years of all clinical science coupled with practical applications and internships. The clinical sciences instructions and examinations in each of the courses specified in the academic curriculum must be successfully completed. Students must successfully complete a one-year full-time clinical internship during the 5th year of the program.
