School of Agriculture and Natural Resources
The School of Agriculture provides training and research in agricultural production, livestock farming and fisheries in coastal areas. It focuses mainly on agricultural management, animal production, pastures and crops, fisheries and aquatic research, as well as other technical services necessary to succeed in the field of agriculture. The school offers an accelerated degree program and prepares students for careers in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries sciences. This program will allow prospective students to complete their degree in as little as two years. On completion a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries sciences will be awarded. We are committed to providing exceptional education for our students.
Agriculture (Agronomy)
The division of Agriculture (mainly agronomy) is established to contribute, as a teaching and research center, to the development of agricultural productions. The department provides professional training and research in agricultural production and agribusiness management. It focuses on a high quality education in agricultural biotechnology, horticulture, food sciences and technology, and agribusiness management. Animal Husbandary
The division of Animal Husbandry Science is established to provide advanced knowledge and skills in animal husbandry. GU will establish small farms of livestock species to provide hands on training and experiences in animal husbandry. The school provides research and development of animal husbandry and production. Fisheries Sciences
The division of Fisheries and Aquatic Science provides professional education in fisheries science to further the knowledge base in this field through a rigorous training and research. The goal is to harness and exploit the vast fishery resources - Our nation's greatest untapped resource. GU will create instructional fish farms, ponds and hatchery units.
